You are probably wondering why ‘alittlebitblurry’, and how/why is someone who is legally blind into photography.
I have no vision in my right eye at all. Total darkness. I only have a small amount of central vision remaining in my left eye. A normal eye sees around 150 degrees, with my left eye I see around 9 degrees. That 9 degrees isn’t great quality either. The best way I can think of to describe it is if we were standing on a street, both looking at the front of a house, you would see the entire front of the house while I would possibly only see the front door, the rest of the house wouldn’t feature in my sight at all, not blurry, not black, just not there at all. I think that’s possibly why I tend to take a lot of macro and close-up photos.
Most of the flower photos are taken in my garden. I get to combine the two activities I enjoy most - gardening and photography.. The other bonus of combining my love of gardening with photography is that it I am constantly enjoying the beauty of nature. Knowing how precious the gift of sight is definitely makes me see and appreciate beauty more.
I enjoy Macro or close-up photography because it gives you an alternate view to what you generally see when looking at something. I am always amazed when looking at macro photos of flowers. So many 'basic' flowers are actually made up of flowers within flowers.
